South West Rocks Dune Care

About Us:
South West Rocks Community Dune Care

Bush Regenerator Volunteers

South West Rocks Dune Care (SWRDC) is an enthusiastic community-based organisation, with over 30 years experience, which undertakes environmental restoration work around South West Rocks, on the Mid-North Coast of NSW Australia.

We operate across multiple land tenures and work closely with the National Parks staff and Kempsey Shire Council. We are successfully eliminating invasive weeds and encouraging the return of native plants, and the animals that depend on them.

South West Rocks Community Dune Care has achieved award-winning success in restoring huge areas of publicly owned bushland over 15 kilometres of coastline from the mouth of the Macleay River to south of Smoky Cape lighthouse over more than 30 years. It is mainly funded by 3-6 year grants from the NSW Environmental Trust, and supported by National Parks and Wildlife Service, Kempsey Shire Council and Local Land Services North Coast.
